Since recently, it has been possible to correct keratoconus with special soft contact lenses. People with keratoconus who use rigid contact lenses perfectly know that such lenses may be quite uncomfortable. At OKULUX we recommend Swiss soft contact lenses for keratoconus.
They are recommended especially for those patients who had problems with adaptation to rigid contact lenses or for whom such lenses were uncomfortable. However, some patients may see less clearly than in rigid contact lenses. But still it is just a little compromise that may make life more comfortable.
Soft contact lenses for keratoconus are recommended for the period of 6 months of wearing. However, when cared of properly, they may be worn for up to 9 months.
I have been specialising in orthocorrection since 2006 and have been certified by the world's leading ortho lens manufacturers. I am very experienced in fitting ortho lenses for school children and adolescents.
